Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Will Feature Knuckles

Sega revealed in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine that Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2 features Knuckles. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

To be more precise, it is Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. This was originally available in the Sega Genesis when inserting Sonic 2 into the Sonic & Knuckles cart.

In addition to Knuckles, Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has the Drop Dash ability from Sonic Mania. Time Attack Mode also has online rankings for this version.

Additionally, it has extra features included in 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 such as the well-received Ring Keep Mode. It also has Super Sonic Mode that lets you start out with all 7 Chaos Emeralds.

Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is in development for Nintendo Switch. The game was announced in September 2018 but Sega has yet to announce a release date. Check out additional details and screenshots in our previous report.
