Sega President and COO Shuji Utsumi and AirAsia Chief Commercial Officer Paul Carroll inaugurated the new flight, accompanied by Sonic and Shadow mascots. The flight took off from Kuala Lumpur and landed in Bangkok, Thailand.

The inside of the plane was decorated with promotional images of the upcoming Sonic x Shadow Generations. As a special service for the flight, a Sonic’s Gold Ring Cake dessert donut in the shape of the iconic rings from the video game serise was provided to passengers.

While AirAsia didn’t offer any pictures of the outside of the flight, the company shared some images of the inauguration speech as well as photos of the interior of the plane and the flights attendants, who wore Sonic and Shadow ear matching headbands.
