Square Enix’s Project Athia is a big mystery at the moment. Even though we know Luminous Productions is working on it in the Luminous Engine for the PlayStation 5, there are plenty of unknowns. But now, we can actually see some of that work happening in a new video showing how the team can create the Project Athia world. It actually can involve procedural generation.
Thie video Luminous Production shared is entirely new. CEDEC 2020 is happening in Japan between September 2-4, 2020, and showing how the developer can use the engine to automatically bring things to life and make it look natural.
People should be able to see a lot of the Project Athia world once it is released. After all, it’s already confirmed to be an open world game.
Also, while we do have very few details about the upcoming game, we do know a bit more about the people behind its story. Gary Whitta, who is known for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the online Animal Talking talk show set in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is the lead writer.
Project Athia is in development for the PlayStation 5 and PC, and it doesn’t have a release window yet.
