Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players will be able to turn their avatars into Shangri-La Frontier characters. Sega has revealed details on the Shangri-La Frontier Style scratch ticket that will appear temporarily in the new PSO2 entry at the July 2024 NGS Headline program. The crossover will primarily feature Sunraku, Psyger-0, Arthur Pencilgon, OiKatzo, and Emul.

After the scratch ticket has gone live on August 21, 2024, players will be able to purchase tickets to unlock random items that include exclusive crossover content. Among the highlighted content will be avatar parts and weapon camos based on characters from the anime that originated as a web novel featuring the eponymous fictional online VR game. The title’s mascot character Emul will also make an appearance as an unlockable form for the player’s companion Mag.

Just like recent prior crossovers with Code Geass and The Eminence in Shadow, Sega will add voice sets newly recorded by the Japanese voice actors of the featured characters. Players will thus be able to hear Yuma Uchida as Sunraku, Azumi Waki as Psyger-0, Yoko Hikasa as Arthur, and Makoto Koichi as OiKatzo.
