When Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles launches, it will mean the first worldwide release of Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess and Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom. Both prequel and sequel stories appear in the collection as a result. However, a new trailer for the game focuses on the third installment’s stories.
The first part of the trailer shows brief snippets of some of the story segments that came up in this installment. For example, Cornet, Etoile, Cherie, Marjoly, and other major characters show up. In the second half, some gameplay appeared to show what the combat looks like and highlight some of the people who can fight alongside people. At the 1:10 mark, Cherie appears in a segment that could be a spoiler for those new to the series.
As a reminder, the original Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure is already available on multiple platforms. It was rereleased in Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3 with La Pucelle: Ragnarok. This is because La Pucelle takes place in the same world and features Cornet’s grandson as a party member.
Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles will come to the Nintendo Switch and PS5 on August 29, 2023 in North America, September 1, 2023 in Europe, and September 8, 2023 in Australia. On Steam, people can buy Rhapsody II and III separately.
