Now that the NieR Re[in]carnation pre-registration phase is open, a new English trailer is here. This is a far longer and more substantial clip than the early May 2021 teaser. It also offers a better opportunity to “hear” Mama and see what gameplay and exploration will look like in the game. [Thanks, IGN!]
Here’s the full NieR Re[in]carnation English trailer. It begins with people watching the young girl waking up in ruins with the ghost, Mama, beside her. After running through some areas while Mama fills you in about the situation, we get to see some fights. These are turn-based battles with three characters facing enemies. Players tap certain attacks to use abilities against opponents. Interspersed with these moments are segments where we get to see brief clips of other people’s stories.
People started seeing NieR Re[in]carnation English pre-registration pages appearing ahead of the new trailer. It’s now confirmed that if 300,000 people commit to the game, everyone will get 3,000 gems in-game. There will also be a closed beta period on Android devices. However, dates for it weren’t announced.
NieR Re[in]carnation is available in Japan and pre-registration is open on Android and Apple iOS devices. An Android beta for pre-registrants was mentioned on the Google Play page.
