Square Enix continues to lead up to the launch of its next Final Fantasy installment with brief trailers. Each one is a sample of the Japanese voice acting that also offers better looks at major characters. The latest one for Final Fantasy XVI stars Dion Lesage, the Dominant of the Eikon Bahamut.
Here’s the full Final Fantasy XVI Dion and Bahamut video. It begins by showing him channeling the Eikon. After that, we see the character’s official art and voice actor. Following that, segments from cutscenes appear showing the prince in his human form, as well as in his Bahamut one again.

Yuichi Nakamura plays Dion in FInal Fantasy XVI. He’s appeared in multiple Square Enix games, as he also played Cid in Final Fantasy XIII< Cid in Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy, Canophus in Tactics Ogre: Reborn, Roland in Triangle Strategy, and Trey in Final Fantasy Type-0. In English he’s voiced by Stewart Clarke, who played Ethan in Horizon Forbidden West and multiple characters in Valkyrie Elysium.
We’ve seen quite a few of the different Dominants and their Eikons lately. Both Benedikta (and Garuda) and Hugo (and Titan) showed up in two recent reveals.
Final Fantasy XVI will be available for the PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023. There is a six-month exclusivity period.
