Starting with the fourth game, the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series added four player brawls. Those were fun to play, but Tomy’s Naruto fighting games ended after the Japan-only release Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen! Special.

The Ninja World Tournament World mode in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution reminds me of those, but Namco Bandai’s game only lets one player fight against three CPU controlled opponents. Players beat up other characters to gain Battle Orbs and whoever has the most at the end of the match wins. This has an original story that involves Mecha-Naruto, a character made just for CyberConnect2’s fighting game.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution is slated for release this year on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
