The Neon Genesis Evangelion Razors Are Coming Back

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

One of the more unconventional Neon Genesis Evangelion tie-in products is coming back. Schick Japan will be selling the Evangelion razors again in Japan starting on December 18, 2020. However, this time there will be special sets that include magnets and posters and a chance to win towels with Asuka Shikinami Langley, Mari Makinami Illustrious, and Rei Ayanami on them. All of the razors and blades will only be sold for a limited time.

When the razors originally launched in May 2020 (and sold out), there were Unit-01, Unit-02, and NERV versions. Only the Unit-01 and Unit-02 Evangelion razors will be back this time. The most basic option gives you the razor and a replacement blade.

The new two sets gives you one of the razors, two extra blades, and one of two Evangelion 3.0+1.0 posters inside of it. Both the Unit-01 and Unit-02 models each have two potential posters that could randomly be included. Unit-01’s posters both feature Shinji Ikari, Kaworu Nagisa, and Rei. With Unit-02, you get posters that have Asuka and Mari on them.

The extra Evangelion razor blades are also available in Unit-01 and Unit-02 sets. Each one comes with four replacement blades for their matching razors and two magnets with scenes from Rebuild of Evangelion. Like the blades, the Unit-01 magnets have Shinji, Kaworu, and Rei on them and the Unit-02 ones feature Asuka and Mari.

As for the towels, 300 people who buy two Schick Evangelion razor items at the same time can send a picture of their receipt and enter at the official website. The people who win will get 600×1260 towels of Asuka, Mari, and Rei based on their Rebuild of Evangelion designs.

The Schick Japan Neon Genesis Evangelion razors will appear in stores in Japan on December 18, 2020. As for the movie, post-production ended and Evangelion 3.0+1.0 will appear in Japanese theaters starting on January 23, 2021.
