Part of Fenrir fell and in God Eater 2 this is a new Aragami infested field called the Scarred Barricade. The ruined buildings were once Fenrir’s central building and residential areas. Now, Aragami roam in the area and players will fight in places where the Fenrir front line fell.
The weapon in the above screenshot is the Boost Hammer, a new Aragami killing weapon introduced in God Eater 2.
The Boost Hammer can be swung horizontally to increase the weapon’s range or you can crush enemies by swinging it vertically. Vertical swings deal more damage.
Pressing R + square charges up the hammer’s boost mode. After boost is activated you can do a Boost Rush to hit an enemy with a barrage of attacks by pressing square, this move consumes some stamina. Or you can press triangle to do a Boost Drive, a mid range attack where you crash into an enemy. Once you close in you can finish off with a Boost Impact, a powerful close range attack where you smash an enemy with a vertical crushing blow by pressing R + square.
Blood Arts are special moves in God Eater 2. The Boost Hammer has attacks like an upwards arcing swing and a shockwave that makes earth spew out of the ground.
Nana a food loving character with a cheerful personality is one of the Boost Hammer users in God Eater 2. She’s 17 years old and since she’s an orphan she doesn’t like to talk about her childhood.
Here’s a look at some of the Boost Hammers in the game.
God Eater 2 is in development for PSP and PlayStation Vita.
