A new trailer and key visual for Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II have been released, ahead of its October 4, 2024 premiere. The anime will continue the story of Ren, Pitohui, and other returning characters as they compete in the third Squad Jam (SJ3), a high-stakes survival match in the virtual world of Gun Gale Online.

The second trailer teases intense action with new features in the game’s battlefield. Ren forms a new team with Pitohui, M, and Fukajiro, preparing to face off against unknown enemies and unexpected challenges.

The anime is based on the light novel series by Keiichi Shigurezawa and features character designs by Kuroboshi Koushaku. The animation will be produced by A-1 Pictures, with Masayuki Sako directing and Yousuke Kuroda handling the series composition. The opening theme, “GG,” will be performed by ReoNa.
