The Project Sakura Wars PS4 release date has been confirmed, as has the game’s name. The beat’em up with visual novel elements will induct people into Tokyo’s Imperial Combat Revue on April 28, 2020. It will, appropriately enough, be called Sakura Wars. It will feature Japanese voice acting and English, French, German, and Spanish subtitles.

In Sakura Wars, demons are causing trouble in Tokyo. Members of the Imperial Combat Revue, which puts on shows, lead a double life. In public, they are all singers and performers for the show. However, when trouble strikes they jump into spiricle armor mechs to fight opponents. When you’re not fighting these foes, you can use the visual novel LIPS dialogue system to have Captain Seijuro Kamiyama get to know his team members, Sakura Amamiya, Hatsuho Shinonome, Claris Snowflake, Azami Mochizuki, and Anastasia Palma.

People who buy a retail copy of Sakura Wars PS4 will get something special with it. Each one will come with a sheet of stickers with Seijuro, Sakura, Hatsuho, Claris, Azami, and Anastasia on it. The cover is reversible as well, so you can choose between the western and Japanese art.
