Sakura Wars: The Animation will begin airing on Japanese late-night TV in a couple of weeks from now. Sega released a new trailer that gives us a preview of its opening and ending themes.

Sakura Wars: The Animation is an anime adaptation of the PlayStation 4 title, Sakura Wars. The protagonist is Sakura Amamiya (CV: Ayane Sakura), a member of the Imperial Assault Force: Floral Division. It tells a new story of Sakura Wars, focusing on Amamiya Sakura.

It starts when Floral Division captain Seijurou Kamiyama transfers to Europe for a while and returns with a young girl named Clara. She claims to be the only survivor of the Moscow Combat Revue. Sakura welcomes Clara to the team, but it doesn’t take long for a group going by the name Moscow Combat Revue appears in the Imperial Capital. Who is Clara? What is the Moscow Combat Revue doing in Japan?
