Joining Giyu Tomioka and Sakonji Urokodaki in Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan are two other fellow Water Breathing users, Makomo and Sabito. CyberConnect 2 announced their addition in the latest edition of Weekly Shonen Jump, which means there are currently no videos featuring how they play in-game. [Thanks, GAME Watch!]
In the Demon Slayer series, Sabito got the chance to show off his swordplay while training Tanjiro to cut the large boulder. When facing off against Tanjiro, Sabito proved himself to be a highly skilled swordsman, using the bare minimum of movement to land his blows.
Makomo, on the other hand, spent most of her appearances watching. She never displayed her own combat prowess. However, when Tanjiro fought the Hand Demon, he noted that she was weak, but fast. Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan will be the first and only time fans will get to see Makomo fighting.
Despite their short screen time and relatively small roles, Tanjiro’s two Water Breathing seniors are quite popular. Not only will Sabito and Makomo appear in Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan, but they also have figures made of them. Earlier this year, Good Smile Company announced Nendoroids of the two. The Nendoroids are no longer available for pre-order and will ship out in October/November 2021.
Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan is currently in development for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.
