Rune Factory 4 begins when you fall out of an airship and lose your memory. A town elder rescues you and asks you to take on the role of the prince or princess. One of the goals in Rune Factory 4 is to bring tourists to the tiny village.
Producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto explained in a fan Q&A bringing in more tourists is a key point of the game and players will be able to change the town to attract more tourists.
The game uses 3D objects for maps and character models, Hashimoto explained to another fan, and seeing stereoscopic rain and snow will be a sight to see. He didn’t give many details about the game’s falling in love system when a fan asked if they will be able to kiss their dates. Rune Factory 4 won’t be like other games where you jump from being friends to being married. Players will be able to experience a close relationship a girlfriend or boyfriend.
Another fan asked about the character’s "three sizes." Hashimoto said he gets this question every time and he can’t give specific sizes since the numbers aren’t finalized. He said out of the girls Forte is the largest and Kohaku is the smallest. Diras is the largest from the guys and Kiel is the smallest.
Anyway! Speaking of three, Rune Factory 4 will have three save slots. Rune Factory 4 comes out on July 19.
