It has been quite some time since RPG Maker MV Switch and PlayStation 4 versions were supposed to be released outside of Japan. But now, there’s a ray of light. We know when it will appear in the West. It will show up first in North America on September 8, 2020. Then, Europe will get it on September 11, 2020. Finally, Oceania will have it on September 18, 2020.
The road to getting the game has been a long one. It had a tentative February 2019 release window, which included an Xbox One port. That version was later canceled, and technical issues were showing up in the Japanese release. While the Japanese versions of both the full game and its free player app had English translations in them, we hadn’t heard much about the software until now.
Here’s a new trailer to go with the new RPG Maker MV Switch and PS4 launch dates.
An RPG Maker MV Limited Edition is available through the NIS America Online Store for $59.99. It gives people a copy of the software that lets you make games, a Creator’s Log to keep track of work, and a physical copy of the soundtrack.
RPG Maker MV Switch and PS4 versions will arrive on September 8, 2020 in North America, September 11, 2020 in Europe, and September 18, 2020 in Oceania. It is already available in Japan.
