Part of the draw of the RPG Maker MV Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 games is the ability to create and share games with people. However, there have been some issues. Namely, RPG Maker MV PS4 players haven’t been able to upload their games properly. While NIS America and Kadokawa haven’t shared a patch yet, a workaround involving a “Dummy” game is here to allow people to post games.
NIS America announced the exact process for the RPG Maker MV PS4 fix on Twitter, coupled with a video that goes through the steps. Essentially, you have to Check Posted Work and attempt to download the game before posting any of your games.
Here’s the tweet explaining the exact process.
A temporary fix is available for issues on uploading games for #RPGMakerMV for PS4. Please try these steps:
1. Go to the Maker Forum.
2. Select "Check posted work."
3. Download the game “Dummy.”
4. The download will fail. (Intentional)
5. Go to "Post game."
6. Upload your game. pic.twitter.com/e6I0wHg5l6

If someone has the Nintendo Switch version of the game, you can continue posting as usual and don’t need to follow these steps.
RPG Maker MV is available for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. There is also a free app that allows people who don’t own the game to download and try games other people have made.
