Back on May 26, 2016, Square Enix brought Romancing SaGa 2 to Apple iOS and Android devices outside of Japan. That same month, Akitoshi Kawazu, the series’ creator, said it would come to the PlayStation Vita in other regions as well. Now, Kawazu has taken to Twitter to announce a delay.

Kawazu’s update comes after a fan asked if the English PlayStation Vita version of Romancing SaGa 2 was still in development. Kawazu replied, “The English version of Romancing SaGa 2 on PSVita has some problems. We need a few more months. I ask for your patience, please.” A release window was never set for the western PlayStation Vita version of the game.

Romancing SaGa 2 is immediately available on Apple iOS and Android devices. It’s a multigenerational story following Avalon’s Emperors and Empresses as they attempt to protect the kingdom from the Seven Heroes, legendary warriors who saved the world, but have since been turned into monsters. It features a turn-based battle system and kingdom management elements.
