Square Enix announced that we can now sample the Romancing SaGa 2 remake ahead of its debut via a demo, complete with a save file carrying over to the full game. It is immediately live on the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC.
Square Enix explained exactly how much of the Romancing SaGa 2 remake the demo covers. Like other entries in the SaGa series, there are multiple leads. In this case, we’re picking up right as the game begins. We’ll meet Emperor Leon of Avalon as he is about to deal with the corrupted Seven Heroes member Kzinssie. However, after that boss fight, the trial ends and we need to carry over that save to the full game.
Along with the new demo, there’s a new trailer. This is one prepared for the 2024 Tokyo Game Show. It begins with Leon and his son Gerard, both of whom appear in the demo. It also shows the Dancer and Imperial Blacksmith classes and introduces the Seven Heroes Bokhohn, Dantarg, Kzinssie, Noel, Rocbouquet, Subier, and Wagnas.
Romancing SaGa 2 will come to the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC on October 24, 2024, and the demo is available now on all four platforms.Â
