After releasing it for PlayStation 3 back in October, Arc System Works has brought River City Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~ to Steam for Windows. You can purchase it for $19.99 which is $5 less than the PS3 version.

River City Sports Challenge is a remake of Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundoukai, which was released in Japan way back in 1990 for the NES.

As you might guess, it’s a sports game starring characters from the River City Ransom series, and the goal is to place first after competing in four events.

Being a River City Ransom game, being fair here is not ideal, as you’ll want to put your opponents off by hitting and kicking them, as well as by using the weapons and tools lying around.

There’s a single player mode, an online Battle mode, and a Create mode that lets you fashion your own characters and stages.
