Starting on December 19, 2022, Nintendo is releasing a Switch House of Indies presentation each day looking at upcoming and new games. The December 20, 2022 one featured a familiar face. Risk of Rain is coming back as Risk of Rain Returns. While it showed up in the Nintendo presentation alongside three other new titles, it will also head to PCs via Steam in 2023. The other three games are The Gecko Gods, The Captain, and Punchuin, with the last two being immediately available as shadowdrops.
Risk of Rain Returns is a remaster of the indie game. It will apparently be influenced by Risk of Rain 2. The multiplayer will be updated. New Survivors will also appear. However, exact details on many additions aren’t yet available.
