In the Suikoden series, Kasumi is a recurring character. She first debuted in the original Suikoden as one of the allies of hero Tir McDohl. The ninja ended up getting very close to that original leader. In this latest Suikoden 2 HD Remaster trailer, Kasumi is working with new hero Riou on orders from Toran Republic President Lepant. Upon meeting with the Rokkaku village and ninja leader Hanzo, we watch as new allies Mondo and Sasuke join the group. The conversation offers a hint as to the personalities of both, as well as their relationships with each other and Kasumi.

Konami has been sharing gameplay footage like this online rather regularly now. The footage usually involves an important moment in the story of the characters. One of the last ones showed when Ted joined Tir’s party in Suikoden 1 HD Remaster, following Tir meeting antagonist Barbarossa Rugner.

Suikoden 1 and 2 HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will come to the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch on March 6, 2025. The original games appeared on the PlayStation worldwide. They also appeared together in a collection on the PSP in Japan.
