Since there are two major titles coming out soon, it’s highly unlikely that RGG Studio will announce any new spin-offs or games during this summit. There is a better chance that we will learn the release date of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, as well as more information on its gameplay. As for Like A Dragon Gaiden, Sega previously announced details on it such as fighting styles, voice actors, and story.

With the release of the seventh mainline entry, Sega and RGG Studio rebranded the English version of the series from Yakuza to Like A Dragon. However, there was never an official explanation for the shift. Fans have made plenty of theories online as to the reason though. Sega did say that Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth‘s title has to do with the game’s themes and plot. As for why, we will have to wait for the game’s official release to see.

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will come out on November 9, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth will come out on the same platforms in early 2024. The Fall 2023 RGG Summit will take place on September 19, 2023 from 8pm PT/11pm ET.
