Reversi Quest uses the board game Othello (also known as Reversi) as inspiration for a  tactical RPG, pitting players against opposing armies for domination of the game’s grid-like board.

The game uses a battle system that bears similarities to Reversi’s rules, placing their units so that they outflank lines of enemies. However, certain magical spells can be cast on the field, forcing players to change their strategies through skipped turns or altered panels.

Players will move across the map using several different types of dice, allowing them to customize their movements to a degree. This is important because certain tiles will offer special bonuses, giving the player gold, items, extra units, and healing if they play on them.

Reversi Quest will release on Xbox One on July 15.
