Resident Evil Village OST Release Will Include New Theme Song

The Resident Evil Village OST is now available to pre-order. Consumers can get their hands on the original soundtrack through retailers like Amazon Japan. A total of twenty-five songs will be available on the soundtrack, including the title theme of the upcoming Resident Evil game. The Resident Evil Village OST will release on May 12, 2021.

“Yearning for Dark Shadows,” is the title theme for Resident Evil Village. The official Resident Evil Twitter account described the song as haunting, as it will include vocals. The OST will receive a standard and limited edition release. While the OST currently has a page on Amazon Japan, it is not yet available to purchase. Additionally, the store page does not feature the key art for the OST. However, the official Twitter account shared the cover of the upcoming original soundtrack release.

Resident Evil Village was recently featured as part of the PlayStation Play! Play! Play! broadcast. The segment included reactions from the broadcast hosts and featured a short Q&A segment with Capcom director Morimasa Sato. Sato answered a few questions, one of which revealed that the mysterious Lady Dimitrescu as not being human. Footage shown during the segment was pulled from the Resident Evil Village Maiden demo, which still remains exclusive to the PlayStation 5.

Resident Evil Village will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on May 7, 2021.
