Resident Evil Village DLC Currently in Development

During the Capcom E3 2021 presentation, DLC for Resident Evil Village was announced on June 9, 2021. However, details are scarce, as the development of DLC content was announced. More information regarding the DLC will be shared at a later date. As it stands, all that has been revealed is that there is something currently planned.

Previously, there had been no indication that Capcom would support Resident Evil Village beyond its initial release, outside of Resident Evil Re:Verse. This multiplayer mode is expected to launch sometime in late Summer 2021. This mode will be available entirely for free to those who have purchased Resident Evil Village. Consumers can get expect to receive access to Resident Evil Re:Verse very soon. More information regarding this was revealed during the presentation as well.

As of May 27, 2021 Resident Evil Village shipped 4 million units worldwide. When compared to previously mainline entry Resident Evil 7, the title has shipped roughly the same amount of units as Resident Evil 7 when it released. During the E3 2021 presentation, the developers behind Resident Evil Village shared their thanks during the broadcast.

Resident Evil Village is now available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. Resident Evil Village DLC is currently in development.
