Resident Evil Re:Verse Mentioned in Resident Evil Village Listing

The Humble Bundle listings for both the standard and deluxe editions of Resident Evil Village are live, and they reveal an additional component for the game. The descriptions for both each say that it will come with Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil Re:Verse. This shows up ahead of the January 21, 2021 Resident Evil Showcase designed to announce more information about the newest entry and series. [Thanks, Edward Outcast and Wario64!]

Here’s the tweet showing the description and details, in the event Humble pulls the listing.

As Outcast mentioned, this is often how Resident Evil multiplayer components are billed. For example, Resident Evil 5’s version of The Mercenaries mode was a cooperative affair, and Resident Evil 6 had both The Mercenaries and Survivors. More recently, the Resident Evil 3 remake had Resistance. Resident Evil Re:Verse could very likely be a multiplayer element.

It might also have something to do with the upcoming Resident Evil closed beta test. When the Resident Evil Showcase was announced, the website also noted a multiplayer closed beta would be held January 28-30, 2021 for an undisclosed “multiplayer action” game.

The Resident Evil Showcase will be held on January 21, 2021 and will likely involve some sort of Resident Evil Re:Verse reveal. Resident Evil Village is in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and it will launch in 2021. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Resident Evil Village are currently in development.
