During the State of Play December 2019 presentation, Capcom offered up the big reveal that Resident Evil: Resistance is the multiplayer component for the Resident Evil 3 remake. It has since started offering up information on Resident Evil Resistance characters since then. While Annette Birkin was shown briefly as the first Mastermind, we also have art for Martin Sandwich and some of the other survivors Capcom had previously revealed.
First, Dr. Annette Birkin is one possible Mastermind in this asymmetrical game where one person is a Mastermind and the other four are Survivors trying to escape the single person’s enemies and traps. Annette is William’s wife and Sherry’s mother, and she previously appeared in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.
The official Resident Evil Twitter account has begun sharing insights about Resident Evil Resistance Survivor characters too. For example, one of the first reveals is for Martin Sandwich. Martin’s mechanical skills let you put together traps. When placed, an enemy that runs over them could be slowed down or stunned.
Here are two Resident Evil: Resistance Martin Sandwhich screenshots.
A new screenshot for Tyrone Henry was also released. He is a Survivor that was present during the Project Resistance tests. He is a firefighter who can be a strong attacker and who can use a Rally skill to decrease the amount of damage all Survivors take for a brief period of time.
Finally, here is Resident Evil: Resistance character art for Annette, Becca, January, Martin, Samuel, Tyrone, and Valerie.
Resident Evil 3 will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3, 2020. It will include Resident Evil: Resistance. Its limited edition (with Jill statue) is only available at GameStop.
