There are a lot of Resident Evil games in development at Capcom. The latest to join the zombie brigade is Resident Evil: Outbreak Survive, for the GREE mobile platform in Japan. This game is slated for release in June, around the same time as Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

Similar to the original Resident Evil: Outbreak, you’ll play as civilians trapped in a zombie-infested Raccoon City. You’ll have to work with friends and share healing items and assemble teams of rescued survivors to get through difficult missions. Capcom are calling Outbreak Survive a “social survival horror game,” which is an interesting idea.

Similar to a lot of other social games, when Resident Evil: Outbreak Survive releases, it will be free-to-play, but you’ll be charged for in-game items.
