There are still two months before Netflix’s live-action Resident Evil show appears in July 2022, but now people get to see a trailer hinting at how things will go. It confirms the setting, which is New Raccoon City in 2022, and some of the show’s characters. For example, it begins with Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker driving in with two young girls named Billie and Jade.
As the Resident Evil live-action trailer begins, it hints at how far Umbrella’s reach is over New Raccoon City. Jade notices a camera on top of a poll. There are uniform, white buildings, people wearing white and exercising as a group, and people drink from bottles with Umbrella’s symbol on them. However, there are hints that Billie and Jade might not be normal. There is a scene in an Umbrella lab which features vials with their names on them.
From there, it fast forwards. We see London in 2036, and it appears decimated by an Umbrella outbreak. We see one of the sisters watching as zombies are everywhere. From there, a montage of clips that seem to be set in both 2022 and 2036 appear hinting at the danger surrounding Billie and Jade.
