Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition Will Be DLC In North America And Europe

After receiving 1500 votes for DLC, Capcom decided to release the extras in Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition as downloadable content in North America, Europe, and Australia. While Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition has only been announced for the PlayStation 3 in Japan, the DLC pack will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 in spring 2010. Pricing for Alternative Edition has not been announced.

Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition includes a flashback level where Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine explore Spencer’s mansion. Capcom also implemented PS3 motion controller support in Alternative Edition. It’s unclear if the Xbox 360 version will have a similar option for Natal or the forgotten third party Squeeballs controller.
