Atlus’ new Devil Survivor 2 game project has been revealed at a preview event for the upcoming Devil Survivor 2 anime, according to attendees.

As suspected, the new game will be an updated version of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2, and is headed to the Nintendo 3DS. The game will be titled Devil Survivor 2: Break Code.

Devil Survivor 2: Break Code will come with new characters and story elements. The game will be officially announced via the March 28th issue of Famitsu magazine and is slated for release this Summer in Japan.

The original Devil Survivor 2 was released for the Nintendo DS in 2011. A website named Nicaea has the ability to predict people’s deaths, and notifies them by e-mail when they’re about to die. After narrowly escaping death, the game’s three main characters learn that the world is being invaded by demons, but that an application on their cell phones allows them to summon demons of their own, to fight off the invaders.

Update: Release window added.
