Reminder: You Can Chat With Friends in Honkai: Star Rail

As a reminder to those who may not know, the chat function in Honkai: Star Rail is now live. This was one of the promised new features in Version 1.1, but it was not immediately available at launch. Some people may have noticed the option in their friends lists after the patch update that introduced the Everwinter City Museum Ledger of Curiosities event.

You can only chat with people on your Honkai: Star Rail friends list. To do so, simply open up your Friends menu and click on the button on the very right. It should look like a speech bubble. After that, it’ll open up a menu for you to speak to them. Currently, it is still very bare-bones. You can literally only send text messages. But since you can send stickers to game characters, as well as receive them, it’s likely that HoYoVerse will add in characters stickers in later update. It’s something that is possible in Genshin Impact, after all.

Other new things on the horizon for Version 1.1 include the playable debuts of Luocha and Yukong. Both the Silver Wolf and museum events are still live, and we will still have a Ley Line Overflow-like event to come. The Companion Quests for Luocha, Bailu, and Yanqing will likely appear in the second half of the update.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development.
