Rei Ayanami (Tentative Name) Plugsuit Figure Returns

Sega Plaza announced the Rei Ayanami (Tentative Name) Neon Genesis Evangelion Plugsuit figure is back in stock. Consumers can obtain it at participating locations in Japan starting January 25, 2025. This is to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Neon Genesis Evangelion airing on television.

In April 2024, DragonHorse Inc. announced the production of a new Mortal Mind action figure of the Evangelion Final Model. It came with it’s own pedestal and additional hand parts. The figure was subsequently released on April 5, 2024.

The Rei Ayanami (Tentative Name) Neon Genesis Evangelion Plugsuit figure will available to obtain at participating locations in Japan on January 25, 2025.

Neon Genesis Evangelion originally began its run in Japan in October 1995. Evangelion: Death (True)2, the edit of 1997’s Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth, appeared in 1998. The End of Evangelion appeared in 1997. The Rebuild of Evangelion films, which offer a different take on the story, began airing in Japan in 2007 with Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo appeared in 2009 and 2012. Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 released in 2021.
