Reggie Fils-Aime is no longer with GameStop. Back on April 20, 2020, the former Nintendo of America COO and president joined the company’s board of directors. However, he will leave his post in the near future at the GameStop 2021 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, which will be held in or around June 2021. [Thanks, IGN!]
When Fils-Aime joined the GameStop Board of Directors, it was part of an effort to help build up the company. He appeared as an independent member. Also, when he joined, it was expected that people who would join would only remain for around a year.
This is one of multiple GameStop leadership shifts as of late. The company announced three changes back on March 23, 2021. Starting on March 29, 2021, COO Jenna Owens, Senior Vice President of E-Commerce Neda Pacifico, and Vice President of Supply Chain Systems Ken Suzuki will take office.
The role Fils-Aime took at GameStop is one of many since his departure from Nintendo. He is on the board of directors of two other companies at the moment, Rogue Games and Spin Master. He is also a Cornell Dyson Inaugural Leader in Residence and has spoken at events like the 10th NY Game Awards.
