Reggie Fils-Aime has been keeping busy since retiring from Nintendo and stepping down as Nintendo of America’s COO and president in 2019. In the meantime, he’s been participating in other roles with different companies, and the latest one has to do with toys. You could consider Reggie Fils-Aime a Spin Master now, as he’s joined the Spin Master board of directors.
According to the official press release, he was elected to the board because of his experiences at Nintendo. This move is to help with the toy company’s “entertainment and digital gaming” spheres. He is now immediately active on the board.
Fils-Aime shared a tweet revealing his involvement with Spin Masters.
What do I have in common with Bakugan, Hatchimals, PAW Patrol, GUND, Air Hogs, Sago Mini and Kinetic Sand? Answer: I am joining the board of Spin Master Corp. — an innovative force in the global toy industry. A new way to make life more fun!

Quite a few of the shows and series Spin Masters makes toys for have received video games over the years. For example, some of those properties are How to Train Your Dragon, Moshi Monsters, and Paw Patrol.
This is the third role Fils-Aime has taken on since leaving Nintendo. First, he became a Cornell University Leader in Residence in September 2019, which meant he would give talks and offer guidance. Then, in March 2020, he joined GameStop’s board of directors.
