Bandai Namco and Experience are teaming up for a new PlayStation Vita dungeon-crawler called Ray Gigant, where players will take on the roles of three main characters to take on giant monsters from outer space. The latest trailer shows more of what the game looks like.
Ray Gigant takes place in the year 20XX, and the world is in ruins after numerous cities have been destroyed by these giant creatures known as the “Gigant,” which have rampaged through the land.
Different militia from around the world made an attempt to take down the Gigant, but everything ended in failure. There was little hope, until a lone young man by the name of Ichiya Amakaze managed to take one down in Tokyo.
The trailer highlights Ichiya at the 0:40 mark. He’s a 15-year-old boy that was raised in an average suburban home. During Tokyo’s destruction, his powers awakened, and were powerful enough to destroy the entire city.
The next protagonist they show is Kyle Griffin, a 17-year-old from Britain. He’s from a prestigious family, and is highly intelligent. They say that he lacks empathy due to the way he was brought up.
The pink-haired girl is Nil Phineas. She’s a 16-year-old of unknown nationality. While there isn’t much known about her, she explains that it’s her mission to save humanity, so she’s been trained by her father on how to fight.
Ray Gigant will release in Japan on July 30, 2015 for PlayStation Vita. You can read more about the game’s other characters in our previous report.
