Over the past few months, Rare has been going over Sea of Thieves, it’s seafaring, pirate simulation heading to the Xbox One and Windows 10. While the simultaneously cooperative and competitive multiplayer adventure won’t be released until next year, an Insider program will allow people early access to the game.
Rare’s Joe Neate and Bobby Laminrande, Sea of Thieves’ executive producer and engagement manager, discussed the Insider program on the latest Sea of Thieves Inn-side Story episode. People who sign up at the official website with their Xbox Live Gamertag account may be called upon for future feature testing. Joining doesn’t guarantee access, but adds you to the pool of players who may participate in the development process. People who play would give feedback on early builds directly to Rare. Different people will be brought in at different phases.
Sea of Thieves will come to the Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017.
