Ranma 1/2 Anime Remake Finally Shows Akane With Short Hair

A new key visual for the Ranma 1/2 anime 2024 remake has been revealed, and it shows Akane Tendo with short hair. Additionally, the credit-less version of the ending theme song is out now, and it also features the character with her more iconic hairstyle.

The new key visual features the main cast of the new Ranma 1/2 anime remake with Akane sporting her habitual short hair, instead of the long hairstyle she only briefly has during the early parts of the series. Mappa previously shared the same key visual, but it instead featured Akane’s early hairstyle. The reason for the updated key visual is due to episode five of the new anime adaptation showcasing the event that leads Akane to “change” her hairstyle.

The new Ranma 1/2 anime adaptation premiered as part of Netflix’s anime catalogue for October 2024 alongside plenty of other releases.

The 2024 remake of the Ranma 1/2 anime is readily available on Netflix. Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan
