People in Europe unable to log into FFXIV due to the torrential rain in Spain in October and November 2024 won’t need to worry about automatic housing demolition. Square Enix announced on the Lodestone that it is temporarily suspending the process. The pause begins on November 7, 2024 in the region.
This suspension in FFXIV automatic housing demolition only applies to two Data Centers. 16 worlds total are affected. There’s no date yet for when the process will resume.
Here are all the worlds where demolition is paused:
- Chaos:
- Cerberus
- Louisoix
- Moogle
- Omega
- Phantom
- Ragnarok
- Sagittarius
- Spriggan
- Light:
- Alpha
- Lich
- Odin
- Phoenix
- Raiden
- Shiva
- Twintania
- Zodiark
It isn’t uncommon for Square Enix to suspend FFXIV automatic housing demolition when extenuating circumstances come up. After Endwalker’s debut and we experienced massive congestion, the process was suspended since some people couldn’t get in to play. When the Noto Peninsula earthquake happened in January 2024, demolition halted briefly in Japan. Most recently, it was paused in North America due to Hurricane Helene.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The automatic housing demolition is temporarily paused on the European Data Centers as of November 7, 2024, with no end date in site just yet.
