Ragnarok Online 2 is finally going into open beta-testing in English. Gravity Corp. are bringing the game to English-speaking players in collaboration with online games portal PlayPark on December 27th. You can watch a short teaser trailer for the game below:
PlayPark have also posted a FAQ that addresses some of the questions you may have regarding the game on their Facebook page. Take a look at it below:
Q1. I can’t play the game, or login, or update/patch my client! Why?
A1. The game servers have been closed for maintenance and bug fixes since 13th December 2012! The game will reopen on 27th December for Open Beta, so please try again on that day. :)
Q2. What time is Open Beta on 27th December 2012?
A2. The game server opening time will be announced next week, so stayed tuned for more updates!
Q3. Where can I download the game or create an account?
A3. Head on over to https://ro2.playpark.net/ to download the game and to register for a free PlayID! Alternatively, you can login to the game during Open Beta using your Facebook account.
Q4. Can my PlayID be linked to my Facebook account? I participated in contests using only my Facebook account – will I still get my reward?
A4. Currently, PlayIDs and Facebook accounts cannot be linked. However, both are valid accounts and any contest/promotional prizes will apply to you if you use either a PlayID or a Facebook account to play RO2 and meet the contest criteria.
Q5. Do I need to download a new client for Open Beta?
A5. No you don’t, if you already have RO2 installed in your computer. You just need to patch it on 27th December 2012. If you don’t have the client yet, get it from https://ro2.playpark.net/. If one download link is giving you trouble, do try another one!
Something to note is that, while Ragnarok Online 2 will be open to English-speaking players worldwide, PlayPark’s servers are located in South East Asia. As of now, Gravity Corp. haven’t announced if or when U.S. or European-specific versions of the game will be released.
