Kodansha has revealed a new merchandise set featuring a crossover between The Quintessential Quintuplets and Sanrio characters. Here is the full list of pairings between The Quintessential Quintuplets and the Sanrio characters:

  1. Ichika with Pompompurin
  2. Nino with Kuromi
  3. Miku with Tuxedo Sam
  4. Yotsuba with Kero Kero Keroppi
  5. Itsuki with Hello Kitty

Kodansha also shared sample images of the set cover, the clear files, and the wedding forms. The clear files’ back side also features each quintuplet posing with Sanrio’s Cinnamoroll.

Although the wedding forms feature illustrations of the quintuplets, they are blank without any pre-inputted entries based on the characters. Kodansha assures that these forms are completely legitimate, and real couples can even use them to register their marriage with the public office.

The merchandise’s reveal and release date on November 22 also has more significance in Japan. November hosts many celebratory days in the Japanese subculture since the number 11 is also readable as “Ii” (Good). In the case of November 22, the date reads out as “Ii Fu-fu,” which translates to “Good Couple (Husband and Wife).”

The series’ latest anime entry, The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽, aired for two episodes in early September 2023. Mages has also been releasing visual novels based on the franchise on a yearly basis since 2021. The third entry, The Quintessential Quintuplets: Five Promises Made With Her, has been available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 since September 7, 2023. Good Smile Company is also working on Nendoroids of the quintuplets in wedding dresses.
