Mages announced that it has delayed the release of The Quintessential Quintuplets: Gotopazu Story 2nd. The game was originally slated for release on September 26, 2024. However, the company noted in this announcement that it moved the release date to October 31, 2024.
In its announcement for the delay, Mages noted that it wants to further improve the game’s quality. This is a common reason that Japanese companies use when they need more time to polish a game from probable bugs and other issues.
This game will be a direct sequel to Gotopazu Story, which gathers stories from the franchise’s puzzle mobile game into a compilation of visual novels. The new second entry will contain stories from the second season of the TV anime and events from the second year of the mobile game.
It will not include stories from the first part. That means people who want to catch up will have to get the first entry, which has been available for purchase on the Switch and PS4 since June 2023. The new game will also be available on the same two platforms.
After getting delayed, The Quintessential Quintuplets: Gotopazu Story 2nd will now be available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan on October 31, 2024.
