Puzzle & Dragons Z for Nintendo 3DS will be different from the mobile phone game. GungHo Online Entertainment turned it into a full blown RPG with new monsters. The game has been expanded with a story about Dragon Tamers fighting the evil Paradox Organization. The way monsters evolve in Puzzle & Dragons Z is different too.

Players can collect eggs after defeating monsters in battle. Bring these to the lab and the egg turns into a monster. That’s pretty much like Puzzle & Dragons. What’s different in Puzzle & Dragons Z is how monsters evolve.

You get chips by winning battles. These chips look like jigsaw puzzle pieces and when you complete a picture of a monster you can evolve into that monster. Puzzle & Dragons Z has multiple evolution paths.

Puzzle & Dragons Z comes out in winter 2013 for Nintendo 3DS.
