Puzzle & Dragons Z puts you in the shoes of a Dragon Tamer fighting against the (obviously) evil Paradox Group. While this is a 3DS version of a smartphone RPG, GungHo Online Entertainment created a world for players to walk around in and explore. Puzzle & Dragons Z also has collaborative features where you can trade puzzle pieces used for monster evolutions via StreetPass and it sounds like the music has been remixed too.

The battle system is essentially the same gem matching gameplay with a Z Drop technique. It’s simple to grasp and pretty fun to play. Why? Well, the creator says because "chance" is a gameplay mechanic.

Puzzle & Dragons Z comes out on Nintendo 3DS on December 12 in Japan. A demo will be released on the eShop too. Siliconera confirmed the game will be released in North America, but specific plans have not been announced.
