Psst… Team Ninja Made Progress With Ni-Oh

Koei announced Ni-oh back in 2005, which was supposed to have a movie tie-in with Kurosawa Productions. The game was put on hold for years without mention until Team Ninja took over Ni-Oh.

While Team Ninja hasn’t said much about Ni-Oh’s new direction, a team member tweeted today "Nioh project has made progress in Team NINJA!" One of the last progress updates we got was from 2006 when Ni-Oh looked like this.

"There are developers working on it inside Team Ninja creating a prototype now," studio head Yosuke Hayashi said to Siliconera in an earlier interview. "Right now it’s in a prototype stage where we are playing with ideas."
