PSO2 New Genesis Will Have More Melty Blood Content

Sega will add more crossover content from Melty Blood: Type Lumina to PSO2: New Genesis. The company announced in the October 2024 NGS Headline program that it will launch the second crossover event based on the fighting game in early December 2024.

The program revealed that Sega will add new avatar parts and weapon camos that let players turn their avatars into Powered Ciel, Dead Apostle Noel, and Miyako Arima when they have the complete sets. The new scratch ticket lineup will also include Portable Holograms and Build Parts for Creative Spaces, which did not exist yet when the first wave appeared in 2022.

For the record, the first Melty Blood: Type Lumina crossover content wave launched in October 2022. It primarily featured avatar items based on Shiki, Akiha, Arcueid, and the regular version of Ciel. The first wave also included several music tracks from the fighting game. Players who missed the first wave in 2022 will be able to get another chance to obtain these items, as Sega will also include them in the upcoming scratch ticket lineup.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available worldwide on PC and PlayStation 4, with an additional Nintendo Switch cloud version in Japan and an Xbox One release elsewhere globally. The second wave of crossover content from Melty Blood: Type Lumina will appear in PSO2: New Genesis in early December 2024.
