Hololive Production VTuber content in PSO2 New Genesis

PSO2 New Genesis Will Have Hololive Production VTuber Avatar Parts

Sega revealed at the July 2022 NGS Headline program that it will add new costumes and accessories modeled after Hololive Production VTubers in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. It will include these items in the “Virtual Streamers” scratch on August 24, 2022. Players of the online game will be able to obtain multiple items that turn their avatars into the three VTubers representing the entire group.

Shirakami Fubuki, who plays New Genesis the most in the group, will represent the Japanese VTuber team. Hololive English’s Ninomae Ina’nis will also appear on behalf of the group’s international talents. And Kageyama Shien will become the representative of the male VTuber group Holostars.

Other than Hololive Production, the “Virtual Streamers” scratch will also include costumes and accessories based on the game’s dedicated Japanese streamer Sabakuro and the Phantasy Star series VTuber Popona.

In addition to the above, Sega will hold a Beginners’ Boost campaign to help new players gear up in PSO2: New Genesis when the Hololive Production content goes live on August 24, 2022. All players will also be able to get in-game stickers of Hololive and Holostars logos, as well as the three featured VTubers’ personal emblems.

PSO2 New Genesis Hololive Beginners Boost

The Hololive Production VTubers will become the first external collaboration content made specifically for PSO2: New Genesis. While Sega released Attack on Titan content for the Global server in November 2021, it originally made the items for the classic Phantasy Star Online 2 in 2017 in Japan.

In the New Genesis update roadmap for late 2022, Sega revealed plans to add new crossover content from another company’s game in October 2022 and an anime show in November 2022.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available on PCs worldwide. The online game is also available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X for the Global version. Sega will add the PS4 to the Global platform lineup on August 31, 2022.
