PSO2 New Genesis Character Creator and Benchmark Tool Released

Sega’s offered a means of trying Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis before getting too invested in the idea of it. The PSO2 New Genesis Character Creator and benchmark tool is now online.

Here’s how it all works. Once someone downloads the 2.8gb application, they can run the PSO2 New Genesis Character Creator on their Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 PC. This is the full character creation suite, like the one in the beta and game. This data can be used in the MMORPG when it launches.

As for the benchmark functions, you can use the application to check how your PC handles. Part of that will include a brief movie. That video also connects to the character creator. The PSO2 New Genesis avatar you made will show up in the clip. This segment also pulls from the game’s opening movie.

The Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis global release date will fall in June 2021, with the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC noted as official platforms in Japan and the presentation mentioning Xbox One and PC as global platforms. Sega already revealed its paid Swimsuit Packs. The PSO2 New Genesis Character Creator and benchmark tool is out for PCs now.
