A Pokemon Sword and Shield promotion is about to end. Soon, people will lose their chance to take advantage of a free Gigantamax Meowth Mystery Gift distribution event. It is only available until January 15, 2020. Nintendo Switch Online subscription status doesn’t matter. All someone needs to do is have a copy of the game, an internet connection, and a free moment to go and claim their character. (It is only available through this distribution event.)

As a reminder, the Gigantamax Meowth’s signature move is G-Max Gold Rush. (This is only available once the character has gained enough power to transform in the middle of a fight.) When someone uses G-Max Gold Rush, every enemy hit becomes confused. Like the signature Meowth move Pay Day, it also scatters coins around, increasing the amount of money the player takes away from the fight. It is also boosted by Amulet Coin or Luck Incense, just like Pay Day would be.

In the meantime, some other Gigantamax Pokemon are appearing more frequently. Gigantamax Coalossal and Flapple are showing up in Pokemon Sword, while Gigantamax Appletun and Lapras are appearing in Pokemon Shield. Prior to that, there were Gigantamax Magikarp Max Raids with increased shiny odds.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are available for the Nintendo Switch.
